Another of the beautiful brands encountered at Milano Moda Donna’s Fashion Hub for Emerging Designers for FW 2019 is a line of beautiful, modern knitwear by Romina Caponi who comes from a knitwear family Maglificio Caponi.

16R Firenze was founded in 2016 by Romina, born in Pisa who after gaining a specialization in Knitwear Design at the Institute Polimoda of Florence in 1998, began a collaboration as a Senior Designer responsible for a range of knitwear with the fashion house Roberto Cavalli in 1999. Romina remained there for several years. In 2006 Romina joined the creative team of the famed Italian luxury fashion house Versace, as Senior Designer. In 2007 Romina founded her own studio within the family business. As a creative consultant, she developed several collaborations with both emerging brands and important fashion groups including but not limited to the Byblos line.

I was struck not only by the quality of the knitwear (produced by Maglificio Caponi – an established knitwear company) but also by the choice of model for the presentation. The line is currently sold by direct contact on www.16rfirenze.com
