LANIFICIO COLOMBO

Many of the brands ORCHID features are beautiful, emerging brands with a few well established brands which are less well known especially outside their respective countries. Lanificio Colombo is in this latter category.
Characterised by lush fabrics in the Editor’s favourite fabric – cashmere, as well as vicuna, baby cashmere and camel. Colours vary by season from the more mainstay classic and conservative beiges, creams and brown always with some jewel tones or pops of whimsical colour to suit the season.
Lanificio Colombo was named after Founder Luigi, a charismatic artist and explorer who focused on the niche sector of precious fibres from the very beginning. The house also produces for some of the biggest houses in Italian fashion with the entire Lanificio Colombo production process taking place in the two historic Italian facilities of Borgosesia and Ghemme: from the meticulous selection of fibres to their transformation into yarns and fabrics right down to the finished product.
The brand features scarves, stoles, men’s and women’s jumpers, cardigans, coats and leisure luxury loungewear with frequent innovations. Items are available for direct purchase via the site www.lanificiocolombo.com and own brand shops in Italy and Korea as listed on site https://www.lanificiocolombo.com/us_en/boutiques
